Oceanside RV Park

Left Elkton as soon as we were up - it was miserable and depressing in daylight. We did have a great three-hot-cake breakfast at Tomaselli's though. They have a great menu: fabulous cartoon drawings and commentary. Then we headed off. Started at 11pm, arrived around 2pm. Tomaselli's Pastry Mill & Cafe

Plan A was to stop at Coos Bay, but we found just a squalid park in stringy highway suburbia, with no access to the water. Kept going, per S.'s suggestion. Charleston, by contrast, is a wonderful port town, and the RV Park is just across from the dunes. We got the $12 "special off-season, under construction" rate - they're busy expanding the park along the dunes. Well worth a visit in future.
The owner (Gary Barker) is a great guy - he explained to us how to go crabbing (using his gear) and told us about all sorts of places we could go, like the State Park and a Botanical Garden. We'll do that tomorrow, maybe.  It should be this evening, but I'm still feeling woozy.  Probably my cranked up teeth, and my gums hurt, not to mention my scalded tongue. We did in fact go to both the Park and  Gardens on Day 4.

Orthodontia is to blame for teeth and gums, stupidity for the tongue.   Everything was fine by Day 6.
